Death's-Mask Hawk Moth
From my series,”BUGS” of small paintings of bugs, butterflies, moth’s, bees. It’s a new series but I’ve always loved and have been fascinated by bugs. I’m going to paint those that are beautiful to me or are endangered.
This one is so interesting how it has a little scull on its back, how does that happen? Very cool still.
This is 8x10x.75, oil & cold wax on stretched canvas. It has a poly wood like frame, dark brown and it’s a canvas floater.
